My Bio
I served in the British Army for 13 years but due to a spinal injury whilst on Operational Tour I was medically retired. Becoming disabled and living with chronic pain set in depression, however, art became my saviour. I've only been drawing and painting for 11 or so months and already feel free. My pain and disability are exactly the same but I have a focus which I love.

Do you think the Derwent Lightfast would make 120 or 150 set

It breaks my heart too that Derwent Artist isn’t making more colored pencil. Will Derwent Artist ever get open stock?

I love your drawings a lot, do you use Holbeins, Arteza, Polychromos or Derwent on your drawings, does Salmon Pink work as a skin tone? It breaks my heart too that Derwent Artist doesn’t make more coloured pencils Or even open stock. Did you contacted Derwent at first.

I wanted to ask you, if you know for Derwent Lightfast the colours that can be closer or might work for Ariel’s sisters

Untitled

The best thing you can do is go to the Derwent website, click on the Lightfast 100 set, scroll down and you will see a swatch of all the colors. We all see colors and tone differently, so I could select the colors I think are right but when you use them you might think they look nothing like the colors in this image. I hope this helps you.

It does, thank you and ok here is the colour chart

Untitled

I look at Artist and there is no open stock. I wish that Lightfast had more colors and make either 120 or 150 sets, they should add more skin tones, pinks, purples, pale blue, dark blues, etc pencils.

The problem with the lightfast range is that the palette is mostly aimed at landscape artists, wildlife and pet portraits. However, if you are looking for a similar highly lightfast range, about the same price but with all the colours you mentioned, take a look at the Caran d’Ache Luminance. They are much more aimed at human portraiture and they have a lot of bright colours.
